.Welcome to the World.

Today was baby A's 5 day old photo shoot! He was so beautiful and wanted nothing to do with the whole "take all my clothes off and put a camera in my face" bit! We did, however, manage to steal a few in between feedings and showers...(of love, of course) (: I had so much fun hanging out with you guys today, thank you for allowing me to capture these first precious days.
**side note: I met baby A's proud Papa when he came to our rescue to help us rent our home, he's worked very hard to get some prospects in a matter of a couple of days! If you are looking for help in that area, he's your man! http://www.realpropertydfw.com

Congratulations Garcia Family, he's an absolute angel. Hope you enjoyed your sneak peek!

.The S Family.

I had the pleasure of working with the 'S' family yesterday morning. This precious family was the kind you meet and you feel an instant closeness to. The kind that make you miss your own family. And I just loved that they were ready and willing to do whatever I asked even if it may have felt a little silly-a photographer's dream!(:

Yesterday morning was ridiculously windy, not just a little breezy, I mean GUSTY! But, we managed to get some great shots and had so much fun doing it!

Thank you A. B, and little J-you guys rock! And thank you to the K Family for the referral. I have a coupon with your name on it!

Engaged!

Over the Christmas holiday, my sister got engaged! I was excited to get some shots of them before they were on their way back to Japan...it was 9 degrees in Wyoming on this day but they were troopers(frozen troopers, but troopers none the less)We didn't have the time to search for a GREAT location, so creativity was limited or that's my excuse anyway (:
Aren't these two just gorgeous?
Congratulations on your engagement B&D, I adore you both.

Happy 2009!!

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and are celebrating the first day of the New Year with the people you love! We had a beautiful Christmas and traveled to Wyoming, where my parents now live. It was extremely cold and windy which for a Texas girl was almost enough to send me packing....but I so enjoyed spending time with my family celebrating, laughing, cooking, and eating.
I always feel a little blue when the Christmas holiday has past and it is time to put away the wreaths and ornaments and trees and lights...I just love Christmas and the way it wraps itself around every person's spirit, I just know Earth shines a little brighter on Christmas Day!
This year, though, as I pack away all of the Christmas goodies....it's not so bad. I just have so much to look forward to in 2009! I have made my New Year resolutions and taped them up on my mirror. Have you set a 09' Resolution? Making a resolution used to feel so meaningless because I knew that by the time Jan 23rd rolled around, that piece of paper was now crumpled up in my purse(or as my husband refers to it, the abyss) somewhere with a grocery list scribbled over the long forgotten, at one point very important, goal for the upcoming year. Well, My first Resolution this year is to remember the importance of a Resolution. It is, after all, the perfect time to reflect, start anew, get motivated, re-group, seek help(?)(:
I have been so blessed this past year and am looking forward to BEAUTIFUL a 2009! I'm excited about what the future holds for my family as well as my Photography and am anxious to build my business and portfolio!Thank you to all of my clients for a great 08'
